HOW IT WORKS
Consider this section a guide on how to navigate the site. This site has been set up to act as a resource for the trans community which centralises information regarding governmental and non-governmental resources for transitioning. However, the site has also been set up to help educate cis people on the many hoops trans people have to jump through to have their identity recognised legally and realised in terms of medical procedures. Furthermore, this site seeks to provide a better solution to trans people's needs for funding, as the only site currently available for people to use is GoFundMe, which takes a cut of people's donations. By comparison, Your Trans Friend handles none of these donations, as every profile is directly linked to the recipient's personal PayPal. However, Your Trans Friend is also open to donations to help maintain the site. Please find some instructional comics on how the site is designed to suit your needs below.
